Background
Aimee Levesque manages the Applied Sciences communications team and has the pleasure of working with a team of writers, strategists, website developers, designers, and video producers. Together, they support the Applied Sciences Program's strategic plan, as effective communications play a crucial, reinforcing role in advancing the Program's organizational goals and encouraging broader, more innovative uses of Earth observations.
Aimee oversees a comprehensive communications strategy for the Program and works with editorial lead, Aries Keck and senior communications strategist, Kaitlin Carpenter to identify opportunities to expand the Program's public engagement efforts, and develop branding, websites, digital marketing, media relations, research, and analytical insights.
Prior to joining Applied Sciences as the Communications Program Manager, Aimee led the marketing strategy practice at creative agency U.Group and worked on high-profile clients including the U.S. Department of Justice, NASA, and several technical consortiums and professional associations. She brings strategic planning experience as an account and strategy lead for large-scale marketing and communications accounts, overseeing digital innovation, marketing strategy, brand development, and analytics.
Aimee received a degree in Communications and Professional Writing from Virginia Tech.
