Overview:

NASA's Disasters Response Coordination System (DRCS) activated to support response for the extreme heat event that impacted Houston, Texas, in the wake of a derecho that caused power outages throughout the city the week of May 13, 2024. The DRCS responded to a request from the FEMA Response Geospatial Office for power outage data to aid in determining where to send their critical needs assistance.
