Overview:

Hurricane Debby made landfall in the Big Bend area of Florida on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, before moving up through southern Georgia and bringing heavy rainfall to Georgia, and North and South Carolina. 

FEMA Region 4 reached out to NASA's Disasters Response Coordination System (DRCS) for assistance, and the program began participating in FEMA planning calls. During these calls the South Carolina Emergency Management Department also reached out for assistance.
