Background
Christine Mataya works in the Earth Science Division supporting the Wildland Fires program area. She has worked at NASA since 2012, previously supporting the Research & Analysis program and the Capacity Building Program within Applied Sciences.
Prior to joining NASA, Christine worked for more than 15 years in the field of international development at various USAID-funded NGOs managing political development programs and conducting assessments identifying environment, conflict and democratization challenges facing developing countries. In 2008, she completed her master’s degree in public policy focusing on the connections among human insecurity, conflict and the environment.
