Background
Kaitlin Carpenter leads development of communications planning and outreach activities, and supports writing and content development. Along with program manager Aimee Levesque and editorial lead Aries Keck, Kaitlin manages a comprehensive communications strategy for the Program and identifies opportunities to expand the Program's public engagement efforts. Effective communications play a crucial, reinforcing role in advancing the Program's organizational goals and encouraging broader, more innovative uses of Earth observations.
Kaitlin joined the Applied Sciences Program team in the spring of 2022. She brings experience leading communications and marketing strategy for public and private sector clients including the U.S. Department of Justice, The Nature Conservancy, and Trust for the National Mall. Since 2019, she has served as the Portland, Oregon chapter lead of the global organization CreativeMornings.
Kaitlin received a degree in public communication from American University in Washington, D.C.
