FIRMS map VIIRS Clouds

FIRMS can be used to track Pyrocumulonimbus (PyroCb) events using the OMPS Aerosol Index (AI) and OMPS PryroCb Product. This series of images shows a PyroCb event on 17 August 2021. This first image is a true color Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) image of the Northern U.S. and Southern Canada.
