Background

Indrani Graczyk is the program manager of the NASA Western Water Application Office (WWAO), located at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, Ca. WWAO’s mission is to put NASA research, observations and technology to work in support of the unique water management challenges faced by the Western United States. WWAO seeks to develop strategic relationships with water managers and develop custom tools based on NASA capabilities. Indrani is also the manager of the Commercial Program Office at JPL. The Commercial Program Office is responsible for all industry-sponsored research and development projects at the Laboratory, as well as technology transfer and commercialization.

Before joining JPL, Indrani worked for many years as an engineer and led the development of several projects in the area of Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) device development. She also worked for several years as a management consultant, where she analyzed market strategies for a variety of industries including Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

Indrani holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
