Background
Sydney Neugebauer serves as the Capacity Building Coordination & Analysis Lead. She supports activities across the Capacity Building Program’s elements and initiatives to facilitate the application of NASA Earth science for societal benefit.
Sydney began working with NASA in 2018 as part of the NASA DEVELOP National Program, where she worked with local leaders to quantify salt marsh dynamics in coastal Massachusetts using remotely sensed data. After graduating from Boston University, Sydney joined NASA DEVLEOP full time as a Project Coordination Fellow and Lead at Langley Research Center. In this role, she co-developed solutions to environmental problems faced by international and domestic decision makers.
A passionate communicator, Sydney has represented the DEVELOP National Program and Capacity Building at venues such as the AGU Fall Meeting, the Virginia General Assembly, the World Bank Headquarters, and colleges and universities across the US. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Earth and Environmental Sciences and Music from Boston University.
