Mean surface temperature of the Greater Bridgeport coast in Connecticut. Calculated from Landsat 8 TIRS and Landsat 9 TIRS-2 imagery from June to September for each year from 2013 to 2023. Dark red represents high land surface temperature and will inform the locations of cooling interventions for Groundwork Bridgeport’s Cool Corridors project. Yellow represents a more moderate land surface temperature, whereas dark and light blues represent high and moderate sea surface temperatures respectively.
