Several rainfall events occurring from Feb 20 – Feb 25, culminating in severe thunderstorms on Feb 24 with multiple Flash Flood warnings in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana, have contributed to significant flooding in the Ohio River valley. Rainfall amounts were estimated between 5-8 inches across the region for the 5-day period, with some areas of southern Indiana and western Kentucky receiving upwards of 10 inches along the Ohio River. Moderate flooding of the Ohio River is forecast to stay well into March.
