Rivers have reached historic water levels in 41 locations across the Midwest. This devastating flooding that has killed at least three people, forced evacuations in multiple states, breached dams and levees, destroyed roads and bridges, damaged thousands of homes and flooded portions of Offutt Air Force Base. Floodwaters are also threatening a nuclear power plant, and forced the evacuation of a National Weather Service Office on Friday. Continuing snow melt and expected spring rainfall will only extend the length of time that areas are flooded.
