Responding to Changing Ecosystems
As our world continues to transform, so do our methods for incorporating data into conservation management strategies and decision-making. Getting the big picture of changing ecosystems is easier to see with the help of NASA’s Earth-observing satellites.
The challenges our land, marine and freshwater resources face are formidable, but our team is devoted to bringing data down to Earth within appropriate modeling frameworks to find solutions and create global impact. We tailor our approach to keep up with the ever-evolving natural landscape — and we work with a community of knowledgeable partners to develop new products and tools to benefit society.
Our rapidly changing world affects people, economies and communities alike. Our project portfolio reflects the many ways we harness NASA Earth observations to monitor, analyze and forecast these changes.
Our leadership team provides invaluable insight and expertise to support project success across the program area. They each have a deep understanding of land, freshwater and marine ecosystems that is essential to push our work forward.
Our community of partners includes public, private and nonprofit organizations, from local authorities like the South Dakota Department of Health to international organizations like the World Bank. Together, we solve real-world challenges using NASA Earth-observing data.
